Meet Our Team

The Alleen Company has been servicing the event business for over 60 years.  The average number of years for our staff is over 15.  We know how to get the job done and get it done right.

Barbara Scull, CPA   [ bscull@alleencompany.com ]
President

Barbara began leading The Alleen team in 2005. Her prior experience in retail and small business management has provided her with a solid basis to direct all aspects of the business. She considers The Alleen Company her family and together they strive to provide a quality product to their customers with outstanding customer service. Barbara is also active with The Sharonville Chamber of Commerce and is currently serving as Chairperson of the Chamber’s Board.
 


Erica Robinson-Gripp   [ egripp@alleencompany.com ]
Event Specialist

Erica was personally hired by “Alleen” the founder of The Alleen Company in 1971. After 40 years, she still has a passion for serving her customers with enthusiasm. She concentrates her efforts on festivals, corporate events, weddings and is our in house specialist for casino parties. Erica is always searching for a way to make her customers’ events “budget friendly”.
 


Layne Butler, CERP   [ lbutler@alleencompany.com ]
Event Specialist

Layne joined the Alleen sales team in 2006. She brings 20+ years in sales and customer service to her position. While working for a major department store she gained extensive knowledge in tabletop and looks forward to sharing her talents with clients. Layne is active in the local chapter of ISES and can be found regularly networking at Perfect Wedding Guide functions.
 


Michelle Hampel, CERP   [ mhampel@alleencompany.com ]
Event Specialist/Operations Assistant

Michelle began her career in the event rental business at Daisy Rental in 1997. She joined The Alleen team when Alleen purchased Daisy. Michelle spent several years in the china and linen department before moving into a sales position. She currently divides her time between sales and operations. Her excellent organizational skills allow her to manage several responsibilities simultaneously. 
 


Sarah Gibson   [ sgibson@alleencompany.com ]
Event Specialist

Sarah joined The Alleen Company Sales Team in 2012. She brings five years of customer service and retail experience to her position on the team. Sarah graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Cincinnati in 2011 with a degree in Hospitality Management and a focus in Event Planning. At UC, she was given the opportunity to plan several successful events and is excited to use that experience at Alleen.


Rob Kuper   [ rkuper@alleencompany.com ]
Outside Sales

Rob Kuper joined The Alleen sales team in August 2011 bringing over 25 years of experience in the event rental industry.  Beginning his career while still a teenager he worked his way up from manual laborer to crew leader to vice president/general manager of a local event rental company.  Rob is knowledgeable in all aspects of our industry.  His expertise is in tenting and coordinating events with an emphasis on event-site management.


Jeanne Prows   [ jprows@alleencompany.com ]
Accountant

Jeanne left the banking industry and began with The Alleen Company in 1999. She oversees accounting, inventory control and human resources.
 


Steve Shupe   [ sshupe@alleencompany.com ]
Operations Manager

Steve started at The Alleen Company as a crew member in 1987. His many years of experience readied him for the responsibilities of managing both the warehouse and the crews. He works side by side with his staff to ensure proper installation on unique setups. His work ethic is contagious to The Alleen Company crew members. 
 


Roger Hail
Event Crew Leader

Roger began his career at The Alleen Company in 1969. He has set every type of event imaginable and is quite often seen evaluating new opportunities and onsite at large event installations. Roger’s long-term commitment to The Alleen Company and our customers is recognized by the Cincinnati event industry.


Danny Robben
Event Crew Leader

Danny started with The Alleen Company in 1979. He manages the large events that take place year after year including The Cincinnati Flower Show and The Western & Southern Tennis Masters Series and Women’s Open. When not on a job site, Danny’s mechanical and craftsmanship skills are utilized to maintain our vehicle fleet, equipment and building.


John Kaeser
Event Crew Leader

John joined The Alleen Company in 2003. He is our booth expert and annually trains our seasonal staff in proper setup and safety procedures.
