Grab Your Sneakers And Get Involved With Your Community!
The warm weather is upon us and it’s time we get out of hibernation. If you like being active or just want to be a part of a good cause, we are excited to be partnering with several walks in May that benefit great causes. We are preparing for the 2017 Great Strides 5K with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the 9th Annual Walk with the Angelman Syndrome Foundation, the 2017 Walk to Cure Arthritis, and the Autism Speaks walk all coming up in May. The Alleen Company loves being able to help bring these events to life and encourages everyone to get out and support them!
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Great Strides 5K is a fun, family oriented walk on Saturday, May 20th, 2017 at Sawyer Point. It provides a wonderful opportunity for people within the community to get involved and help raise money for a great cause. The walk includes children’s activities, food, and festivities that you can participate in!
Another way you can give back is by participating in this year’s ASF Walk on Saturday, May 20th, 2017 at Theodore M. Barry International Friendship Park Plaza east of Montgomery Inn Boathouse. Angelman syndrome (AS) is a rare neuro-genetic disorder that occurs in one in 15,000 live births. Come walk along the Ohio River and help raise money for research to find treatments and a cure for Angelman Syndrome. Register and donate today!
Did you know, Arthritis is the #1 cause of disability in the United States, affecting more than 50 million people? This is a nation-wide event that encourages communities to come together and raise money to overcome Arthritis. Come show your support by participating in the Walk to Cure Arthritis on Sunday, May 21st, 2017, at Sawyer Point.
Autism Speaks is hosting its largest fundraising event, the 10th annual walk at Coney Island, on Sunday, May 21st, 2017. Get involved by starting a team, joining a team, coming on your own, or signing up to help volunteer at this event. “With every step you take and every dollar you raise, you help enhance lives today and accelerate a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.” Come help achieve the Cincinnati Walk goal of $185,232 to benefit the Autism Speaks Foundation.
