Cincinnati will be hosting its 19th annual Flying Pig Marathon! Recently featured in Competitor.com’s “25 Must-Do Marathons”, this unique race provides its participants with a beautiful tour of the Queen City. While the marathon itself has become a staple to Midwestern runners, the additional events and activities surrounding the weekend have made it much more than the average race.

From May 5th to May 7th, the city is alive with activity. With 5k’s, 10k’s, half-marathons, children’s races, and a party at just about every finish line, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more inclusive racing event in Cincinnati. As the Tri-State’s premier event-rental provider, The Alleen Company provides the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon with everything from medical tents, party tents, chairs and almost 400 tables for the marathon’s water stations! The Flying Pig Marathon’s unique name is derived from the Queen City’s other alias: Porkopolis, a name coined in the 1830s when Cincinnati served as the country’s chief hog packing center. Registration is currently open until April 23rd.
